The first group of foreign passport holders from Gaza have also been allowed to go through the Rafah crossing for the first time since the current conflict began over three weeks ago.

While more than 200 trucks of desperately needed aid have crossed into Gaza from Egypt, Cairo had not allowed people to cross until now.

Some 545 foreigners and dual nationals who've been in Gaza are expected to go into Egypt today.
