Updated | By Gcinokuhle Malinga
There won't be an address by the Amazulu King when the KwaZulu-Natal legislature reopens this year.
Speaker Nontembeko Boyce says King Misuzulu ka Zwelithini cannot deliver his speech because his coronation hasn't yet been finalised.
Premier Sihle Zikalala will deliver his State of the Province Address at the Royal Show Grounds in Pietermaritzburg on Thursday morning.
Addressing the media, Boyce says the monarch's address has been postponed.

"Upon the conclusion of the coronation process officially by the President, there will be an address by the monarch at the Legislature, but for the 2022 Sopa, the Royal household and the Kind are invited."
Previously, the opening of the legislature was held over two days - with the late King Goodwill Zwelithini delivering an address before the Sopa.
The tradition won't continue with his son King Misuzulu this year - due to the ongoing legal battle over the heir to the throne.
