Alleged unrest instigator Bonginkosi Khanyile granted bail

The Durban Magistrate's Court on Tuesday granted alleged unrest instigator Bonginkosi Khanyile bail of R5 000.
The former Fees Must Fall activist was arrested last month, for allegedly inciting the violence in July, that led to widespread looting, arson and damage to property.
More than 300 people lost their lives.
Supporters of Khanyile broke out in song and jubilation after the magistrate made his judgement.
The magistrate told the court that he is strongly of the view that Khanyile committed the crime but that it wasn't for this court to decide, but rather a trial court.
He granted Khanyile bail, with conditions that he won't be able to post on Twitter until the matter is resolved.
He is also to report to Hillbrow Police Station twice a week, if he is in Durban then he would need to report to Durban Central Police.
The matter has been postponed to 23 September.
