Alleged child rapist faces three counts of rape

A 57-year-old man accused of the rape of three children is due to appear in the Ramsgate Magistrate’s Court tomorrow.

The man from Gamalakhe, near Port Shepstone, was arrested earlier this week. Police say he was allegedly found naked with the children at his home.
According to police, the parents of the girls - aged nine, 11 and 13 - received information that they were in the man's home.
The community in Gamalakhe was mobilised and went to the home where the found the man with the children.

Police spokesperson, Thembeka Mbhele says the man was then allegedly assaulted by members of the community.
Mbhele says he was seriously injured and taken to hospital under police guard.
She says he was discharged yesterday and will appear in court on three counts of rape.
