Alleged brawl causes fatal crash on N2 near Richards Bay

Police are investigating four counts of culpable homicide after yesterday's horrific collision between a taxi and a truck on the N2 near Nseleni outside Richards Bay.
Emergency services say the vehicle veered into oncoming traffic and collided head on with the truck.
It's alleged that the passenger tried to throttle the taxi driver moments before the crash.
KZN police spokesperson Thulani Zwane says the driver died in the accident.
"It is alleged that there were some problems between the passenger and taxi driver. As a result - the taxi driver lost control and collided into a truck. Four people died instantly while the others were taken to hospital for treatment. There are no arrests made at this stage," he said.
Meanwhile, a man died and four others were hurt in yesterday's accident on the N2 near the old Durban International Airport has claimed the life of one man.
Rescue Care says the man was trapped in one of the vehicles and had sustained fatal injuries.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
