Updated | By Nondumiso Dube
It's all systems go for Thursday evening's State of the Nation Address.
Chair of the National Council of Provinces Amos Masondo says the way the sittings are run in general are categorised by freedom of speech.
The presiding officers will run this sitting and ensure that members are not denied the right to express their views.
Masondo says security in and around Cape Town City Hall's been beefed up.
President Cyril Ramaphosa's scheduled to deliver his address to the nation at 7pm.

Madala Ntombela - the House Chair for International Relations - says there were some seating issues which have been resolved.
"The space for 364 members in the City Hall chamber for the sitting tomorrow is both at National Assembly and National Council of Provinces.
"There was confusion about certain allocations for one of the parties but that has since been resolved and it seems to be a common understanding for what's to be expected."
