Alert for swimmers after KZN north coast drowning
Updated | By Sandile Zikhali
Another appeal has been made by sea rescuers for families to be extra cautious when swimming at KwaZulu-Natal’s beaches this weekend.

This after a 14-year-old girl drowned while swimming at St Lucia - north of the province.
The NSRI’s Craig Lambinon says emergency services personnel tried to resuscitate the child, but sadly it was too late.
"On arrival on scene - the child was out of the water. It's reported she had been taken out of the water by bystanders. Cardio-pulmonary resuscitations commenced and joined by paramedics on their arrival. Sadly after all efforts to resuscitate her, she was declared deceased."
Lambinon’s warned beachgoers of rough seas along the KZN coast this weekend.
