"I don't have issues with that person, I don' t feel any hate for them, I don't feel any negative feelings towards them. I  think they just another person who's been used by someone else and I actually really don't have any anger towards them, I don't, I've forgiven them."

Speaking on East Coast Radio's The Carol Ofori Podcast, Lynn Forbes opened up in an emotional interview about how her family has been coping since the death of her 35-year-old son.

The award-winning rapper and his friend Tebello Motsoane were gunned down on Durban's Florid Road after having dinner at a restaurant in February.

Lynn says while they are being patient with the police investigation it is clear that AKA's murder was linked to organised crime.

She says regardless of who's arrested, they don't think they'll ever know who ordered the hit on her son.

"I don't believe the person who pulled the trigger hated my son, I don't even think that person even knew my son, he was just doing a job that he was paid for.

"There might be an arrest for the person who had pulled the trigger, whether we would find the person who paid for the bullet, that one I'm not sure about.

"I don't really believe that would ever happen and so for me, finding the person who pulled the trigger, there is nothing in that speaks of justice to me."

Forbes believes coming back to Durban, after her son AKA's murder, will be emotionally triggering at this stage.

She says it'll remind her that this is where her son, took his last breath, three months ago.

She'll mark Mother's Day this weekend, for the first time without her son.

"I will come to Durban at some point, I just don't think I am ready now becuase that is where he died. I would have to relive that flight that he went on and the moment he said to me 'Mom I am going to the airport. I would get off and I would know this is the last airport he put his foot down. It is too ealry for me to do that, but I have no issues with Durban or the people."

Wenesdsy marked exactly three months since the rapper was killed.

"What I really want to do one days is one of the yearnings I have is to stand in the sopt where he died and just be there. I know that his soul and body is not there anymore, but that is the last place where he was alive and I think it would be important for me for to just stand in that spot."
