Airlink set to resume Richards Bay to Joburg route
Updated | By Noxolo Miya
Airlink is set to resume flights between Richards
Bay and Johannesburg from next month.

Trips were suspended two years ago due to the coronavirus outbreak. Travellers can fly to and from the economic hubs from the 19th of September.
Airlink's Linden Birns says they were able to reopen the route after Richards Bay Airport secured the necessary resources to accommodate their services.

"The airport's management has since provided the assurance that we need, that it has the necessary emergency response and resources. This has allowed Airlink to reinstate scheduled services on the route.
Birns explains what the flight schedule will look like.
"From the 19th of September, Airlink will fly twice a day, Monday to Thursday and once a day on Friday and Saturday and from the 16th of December, flights on the route from Johannesburg and Richards Bay will be daily.”
