Aid groups rush to assist KZN flood victims
Updated | By Gcinokuhle Malinga
Humanitarian aid groups are bringing great relief to thousands of people affected by the floods in KwaZulu-Natal.

Meals On Wheels Community Services South Africa has delivered over 40 000 hot meals, blankets, clean water and clothes to flood survivors.
CEO Nelisa Mabenge says they have had to increase their capacity on the ground to cope with the growing calls for help in some of eThekwini's worst-affected communities.
She says they are also assisting people through their skills development training programme.

"Now what this does is basically it's a hub of excellence programmes which is an incubation system that we have developed for these people who have been disadvantaged to come into the system to be trained, educated to be qualified to do that which they need to do in order for them to fend for themselves.
"So this will be in the form of training; if it means for them to get a certain qualification, then that is something that we would provide for them to do."
