#AfricaMonth "I love being an African"

It's Africa Month and in the spirit of celebrating the continent and its people, reporter Slindelo Masikane speaks to our African brothers and sisters living and working in Gauteng on what it means to be an African.
Jessica Ifama Okuke from Nigeria is an entrepreneur and owns a hair salon - north east of Johannesburg. The west African country on the Gulf of Guinea has many natural landmarks and wildlife reserves. The 33-year-old hair stylist is passionate about hair.
She isn't here alone, she lives with her husband and three children. When asked whether she's Nigerian first or African first "I am an African," she says.
She says she loves Africa because it is a beautiful continent beautiful rich in culture, colours and natural resources. "the clothes, the food, there are no natural disasters, the beautiful people I love everything about Africa".
Jessica says South Africans people are welcoming, she has never had a problem with anyone since her arrival nine years ago "South Africa is my home away from home" she says.
