He has been identified as 46-year-old Mxolisi Madiba.

Madiba is one of three people that died following a mudslide at an informal settlement in the area over a week ago.

The body of one of the victims, a woman, was recovered over the weekend.

Search and rescue officials have called for more hands and more machinery to try and free Madiba’s body.

It's understood that his body is pinned between trees, rubble, and other debris.

This process is extremely delicate due to the state of decomposition of the body, which has been here for about a week.

Madiba’s distraught family, who were at the scene, say they are devastated by his death.

The told Newswatch that he was an only child.

Madiba is also a father to one child.

They say knowing he was under the rubble for so long has really affected them and they are praying for his body to be brought out safely.

Another team has also been called in to search for 8-year-old Simokuhle Duka, whose home collapsed last week.

Her mother is at the scene and says they have tried everything to try and look for her body.

She says she just wants her child's body at this stage and need all the help they can get.
