Updated | By Nondumiso Dube
ActionSA is set to convene a council meeting in an attempt to unseat the ANC in KwaDukuza municipality.
This after ActionSA blamed the ANC in KwaDukuza for deliberately collapsing their sitting council meeting on Thursday.
ActionSA and other opposition parties convened to vote for a motion of no-confidence against the executive mayor, deputy mayor, speaker of council and chief whip when it was disrupted.
According to ActionSA, the opposition party intentionally initiated a physical altercation to avoid the motion of no-confidence.

The party's chairperson Michael Beaumont says the council sitting should happen by means of a secret ballot.
"This will not end here today. ActionSA's efforts to remove the ANC will not be deterred in the slightest. We are proceeding to the Stanger police station, where we will be laying criminal charges against members of the ANC and municipal officials who attempted to assault councillors who were supporting the motion of no-confidence.
"We will no cease until the ANC is removed from this municipality and the residents of this municipality are served by a stable and functioning multi-party coalition government that acts with respect for the rule of law."
