ACSA: Airports will operate normally on Monday
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
Airports Company South Africa says on Monday all of the
country's airports will stick to their schedules and operate normally.
This despite plans by the EFF to stage a national shutdown, with protest marches set to take place against load shedding, unemployment and other issues.
ACSA says it made the decision to continue operating, even though organisers warned of disruptions to road and air transportation.
The EFF is also demanding President Cyril Ramaphosa's resignation.
ACSA's Gopolang Peme says they've put contingency plans in place.
"ACSA will like to ensure the public that it has a contingency plan to mitigate any disruption planned for the day.

"All entities in the Acsa travel value chain are in the process of preparing respective contingency plans to ensure adequate resourcing across our airport. We will remain on high alert and normal operations will continue.
"We urge the public and airport users to consult the Acsa mobile website or directly contact your airline for any further developments."
