Updated | By Lauren Beukes
The corruption case against Ace Magashule has been postponed to September.

The suspended ANC secretary-general and former Free State premier appeared in the Bloemfontein High Court on Friday morning.
He's facing charges of corruption, fraud and money laundering relating to a R255 million Free State asbestos tender.
The 2014 roof removal project wasn't completed.

Magashule asked the court not to postpone the matter this morning.
He told the judge he thought the case would speed up.
"It is conscious, deliberate to ensure that we don't stand for ANC elections. It is a deliberate move by the National Prosecuting Authority and I am a politician.
'We are going to a conference in December. I will argue that I am not guilty of anything I have not stolen a cent and it is a deliberate move to prevent me from standing."
