Updated | By Maryke Vermaak
One of the accused has given his side of the story on the day a teenage boy died in Coligny near Lichtenburg.

The man, along with another person, are accused of killing the boy after he allegedly stole sunflowers from a field.
The accused are appearing on an urgent application for bail in the Coligny Magistrate's Court.
They cannot be named as an identity parade still has to be done.
Defence for accused number one, PJ Smith, read from his client's affidavit.
The 26 year-old man indicated he will plead not guilty and believes the circumstances are of such a nature to warrant bail.
