Accused in Estcourt cannibalism case denied bail

The accused in the Estcourt cannibalism case have been refused bail.
Traditional healer, Nino Mbatha and his co-accused, Khayelihle Lamula, Sithembiso Sithole and Lungisani Magubane have been charged with murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
The four are accused of the murder of 25-year-old Zanele Hlatswayo from Shayamoya.

They were arrested earlier this year after Mbatha apparently went to the police and confessed to their activities.
The NPA's Natasha Ramkisson-Kara says the Estcourt Magistrate’s Court heard their bail application on Tuesday.
"The accused appeared in court today for judgement on their bail application. The matter was remanded to the 25th of January for further investigation," she says.
