Abrahams denies bringing NPA into disrepute
Updated | By Lucky Khanyile
The national director of prosecutions, Shaun Abrahams, insists he will not apologize to Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan - as he maintains he was acting upon the evidence before him.

Abrahams has been briefing the Justice and Correctional Services Portfolio committee on the decision to withdraw charges against Pravin Gordhan and his co-accused in Parliament.

The EFF's Sam Matiase has called on him to resign as he deems him unfit to hold the position.
Abrahams says everyone is equal before the law.
"I deny having put the good office of the NPA, and the legal profession, into disrepute. I deny this was a blunder, or part of a systematic blunder. At the inception when the initial decision was made to prosecute, there was a case," he said.
