Updated | By Lauren Beukes
A fuel price increase is on the cards for March.

The cost of petrol is expected to jump by R1.22 and R1.27 per litre.
The Automobile Association (AA) of South Africa's spokesperson Layton Beard says diesel and illuminating paraffin are also set to cost more.

The price of diesel is predicted to go up by 28 cents a litre and paraffin by 16 cents.
"In the case of petrol, the movement in international oil prices is contributing between 76 and 82 cents to the increases while the weaker average Rand to US Dollar exchange is adding about 46 cents to expected increases.
"In terms of the diesel price, the sole contributor to the expected increases is the weaker exchange rate."
