95 Covid deaths, 3 614 new cases in SA

Ninety-five more people have died in South Africa after they contracted Covid-19.

The brings the pandemic death toll now to 56 601. Five of those fatalities were recorded in KwaZulu-Natal.
"Today, 95 more COVID-19 related deaths have been reported: Eastern Cape 3, Free State 27, Gauteng 44, KwaZulu-Natal 5, Limpopo 0, Mpumalanga 0, North West 0, Northern Cape 7 and Western Cape 9 which brings the total to 56 601 deaths.

"Provinces are continuing with their mortality audits and some dates have been back-captured from previous months," the Health Department said.
The Health Ministry says there've been 3 614 new infections in the last 24-hour cycle - which represents a 10% positivity rate.
Meanwhile, the number of people who've received the Pfizer jab, so far, under the Phase Two rollout has gone up to 565 336.
