903 new COVID-19 cases, 81 more deaths in SA

Eighty-one more people who contracted coronavirus in our country have died - bringing the death toll since the start of the outbreak to 16 667.

Eleven of those deaths were recorded in KwaZulu Natal - the province has over 5 700 active cases.
The Health Ministry says in the last 24 hours, 903 new cases were registered - taking the total number of detected infections to over 672 000
More than 606 000 people have beat COVID-19, which translates to a recovery rate of 90%.
