8 VIP cops to hear bail fate on Tuesday
Updated | By Noxolo Miya
The lawyers representing the eight VIP protection officers caught on video assaulting three motorists on the N1 in Johannesburg want the person who shot the video to present him or herself in court.

The bail application of the group assigned to Deputy President Paul Mashatile's security team continued in the Randburg Magistrate's Court on Thursday.
Defence Advocate Xabiso Sotshangaye insists the accused will not interfere with any witnesses.
"It is said that the complainant in counts 6 and 7 fears for her safety. I submit that the applicants do not know her or even her residential address. So there is no way that they can get her contact details, and they will never interfere in the investigations or intimidate the witnesses."
This while the legal representative for accused number one Shadrack Kojoana said it's not fair that a bail decision is made on the evidence provided by someone whose identity is unknown.
"It can't be fair that when we have the rights of the accused in terms of the constitution, the supremacy of the republic indicates that they should be presumed innocent until proven guilty.
"We placed them in custody waiting to identify the originator of this evidence that the State intends to rely on in proving they are guilty and not knowing the outcomes of that particular investigation."
Judgment in the bail application will be delivered on Tuesday.
