78 nurses employed in KZN to assist in HIV/AIDS treatment
Updated | By Sandile Zikhali
KZN Health has brought 78 nurses - on board.

They will be based at various public health institutions in the province.
The department teamed up with the Maternal, Adolescent and Child Health Unit - to employ new staff. The group's Arthi Ramkisson says the new nurses will assist in the fight against HIV.
"The main purpose of this is to help the country, KwaZulu-Natal in particular, to reach epidemic control. What that means is that everyone who needs to be on antiretroviral treatment because of their HIV status has to be initiated onto treatment and be retained in care. The outreach team leaders will play a very important role in retaining our patients in care," she said.
