About 70 school children have been hurt after their school bus veered off the road on the R603 near Amanzimtoti.
It is unclear at this stage what exactly caused the crash near Adams College.
Speaking to Newswatch from the scene, Rescue Care's Garrith Jamieson says the children are between the ages of eight and 12.
Jamieson says all the children have been removed from the scene and transported to hospital.
"A school bus full of children, 73 of which are injured - has gone off the roadway into a ditch. They sustained minor injuries," he said.
