7 killed in minibus crash near Nquthu

Seven people have been killed in a double-vehicle crash in
northern KwaZulu-Natal.

A minibus taxi and a car collided and burst into flames on route P291 between Nquthu and Babanago.
Robert Mckenzie. who's with KZN Emergency Medical Services, says a child who was about 12 years old was among those who died on Wednesday evening.
“Paramedics have transported 12 patients to hospitals for continued medical care, one of these patients was in critical condition while the remaining patients sustained serious injuries.

“The exact cause of the crash is not known at this stage and is going to be investigated by the police.”
