6 KZN rapists sentenced of which 3 got life terms

KwaDukuza detectives have put six rapists behind bars - three of them for life.

Police say these were separate cases that date back several years with the youngest victim a five-year-old girl.
They were also given sentences for burglary and theft.
One of the life sentences was handed down to a 26-year-old man, who'd attacked his nine-year-old cousin in Ndwedwe.

Siyabonga Buthelezi, 21, will remain in prison for life for the rape of an 83-year-old grandmother in Kwadukuza.
The police's Nqobile Gwala says two men were sentenced to life and 15 years respectively for the rapes of two girls, aged 5 and 13.
"Cases of rape were opened, the KwaDukuza FCS Unit then took over the investigation and made an arrest where the sexual offenders were then sentenced by the regional court at KwaDukuza.
Meanwhile, 26-year-old Thamsanqa Ngubane - who's been given a 15-year sentence - told his victim, a woman, that he was a prophet and could heal her.
