Six people have been hurt following a collision involving 3 cars on the N2 South bound, near the Galleria Mall.
It is not known exactly what caused the three vehicles to crash, yesterday, with 2 of them colliding head-on, and one overturning before coming to rest on its side. According to Rescue Care emergency services those injured sustained various injuries.
The services Garrith Jamieson says two of the 6 injured were still trapped in their vehicles when help arrived.
"Once they were extricated they were stabilised on the scene before they were transported, along with the other injured 4, to various nearby hospitals for the further care that they required," he said.
"At this stage the exact cause of the collision is unknown, however, it is alleged that one of the vehicles travelling towards the north crossed over the centre median and crashed into the vehicles travelling towards the south," jamieson said.
"SAPS were on scene and will be conducting further investigations," he said.
