5 killed in N11 single vehicle crash

Their vehicle had been travelling in along the N11, near Ladysmith, when it crashed through a bridge wall before landing on a railway track.

Details around the cause of the accident are still sketchy at this point.

KZN EMS paramedics arrived to find that the car had caught alight with all its occupants still inside.

The services Rob McKenzie says nothing could be done to save them.

"Initial indications are that it is a family group that has passed away in the accident", he said.

"Exact circmstances are not known at this stage but will be investigated by police", McKenzie said
