5 die as car splits in half in PTA crash
Updated | By Nondumiso Zakwe

ER24 spokesperson Werner Vermaak says four of them were found lying across the road after their car was ripped to pieces on the R21 south near the Nellmapius offramp.
They say it is not exactly clear what happened, but they apparently collided with a barrier. The fifth person was found in the car. All of them died before paramedics arrived. They were aged between 25 and 35.
The driver of the second car involved, an Audi Q7, was found walking around the scene with minor injuries. His car came to a halt on its roof.
