It's been all hands on deck for emergency workers in around Durban following the devastating storm at the weekend.
In what's being described as a Mothers Day miracle, a 4-year-old boy has been pulled out alive after he was trapped beneath the rubble of a collapsed building in the Sea Cow Lake area.
Emergency workers say the heavy rain caused the building to fall down yesterday at an informal settlement along Johanna Road.

They had to cut through wire before they were able to dig through the stones to get to the child.
Firefighter, Bradley Hatfield says the boy was distressed after the incident.
"All that was visible of the little boy was basically from his chest upwards and obviously he was very distressed and the entire hill had collapsed down on to a house that he was living in. The structure was destroyed completely and the were tons and tons of unstable rubble," he said.
The seriously injured child was treated on the scene before he was taken to hospital. Meanwhile in Umlazi, a one-year-old toddler's been killed after a wall collapsed at an informal settlement in D-Section. Another five-year-old child lost his life in Rafia Road, Chatsworth.
