4 treated for smoke inhalation at Durban south factory blaze

Four workers have been treated for smoke inhalation after a fire broke out at a factory in Clairwood, south of Durban.
ALS Paramedics' Garrith Jamieson says the linen factory on Karim Lane caught alight on Tuesday morning.
"Paramedics arrived on scene to find Durban Fire Department as well as employees trying to douse the flames in the factory.
"Paramedics stood by and once the fire was contained, four of the employees has sustained minor smoke inhalation."

eThekwini Fire's Nkulu Dube says the blaze has been contained.
"The fire was confined to machinery, to be precise, the conveyer belt used in the process of manufacturing.
"The sprinkler system activated and extinguished the fire. The fire brigade came in and damped down hot spots."
