4 hurt as car crashes into tree in PMB
Four people have been injured in a car accident in Tala Valley outside of Pietermaritzburg.
The light motor vehicle had been travelling on Stoney Ridge Road when it slammed into a tree.
ER24's Russel Meiring says the injured were transported to nearby hospitals for further care.
''On assessment, we found that one patient had sustained serious injuries and was in a critical condition, while three others had only minor injuries.
''We treated the patients and provided the critically injured patient with advanced life support,'' he said.
Local authorities say they are investigating the cause of the accident.
