32 rhino poached, 25 arrests in KZN
Updated | By Anelisa Kubheka
32 rhino have been poached in KZN since the beginning of the year.

Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife says 25 arrests have been made during this period.
1175 rhino were slaughtered for their horn across the country last year that's down from 1215 the year before.
General manager for Rhino Security in KZN Cedric Coetzee says the challenge is the growing demand for rhino horn.
"There's one key thing that drives rhino poaching - that's the demand. If the demand is high, the supply has to be there and the better we get at our jobs.
"The demand raises the price. The price of the rhino horn product has risen exponentially and it is very hard to deal with," he said.
