3 murder suspects nabbed after being on the run

The suspects, aged between 21 and 25 were apprehended at the KwaMashu Men's Hostel earlier today - after being on the run for about year. 

The police's Jay Naicker says a cellphone thought to have been stolen from one of the victims was found on one of the suspects.

"It's alleged that three victims were walking along Nkonjane Road when they were accosted by approximately five men. The suspects demanded cash from them. When the victims indicated that they did not have any cash, it's alleged that the suspects removed a 5-litre container of petrol from the victims and poured it on the victims before setting them alight," he said.
