3 killed in uThukela single-vehicle crash

Three people have been killed and two others hurt in a single car crash, a few kilometres after Elandslaagte, in the uThukela District Municipality.
KZN EMS spokesperson, Robert Mckenzie says they were called to the scene before 9pm.
"Last night, there was a serious crash on the R602. A car left the road before hitting a tree and then crashing into a river. Tragically, three people have sustained fatal injuries in this crash," Mckenzie said.
Sadly three people have sustained fatal injuries in a crash, which occured last night on the R 602, 7km after Elandslagte in the Uthukela district. The vehicle left the rd, hit a tree before crashing upside down into a river. Two pts were treated by paramedics.

Mckenzie says it was a long emergency operation with paramedics and other personnel working at the scene until 1am today. Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
