3 killed, 2 injured in collision near Darnall
Three people have been killed, and two others injured in a head-on collision on the R102 near Darnall, in northern KwaZulu-Natal.
Paramedics say, when they arrived on the scene, they found they found three people who had already died in the one vehicle.
IPSS Medical Rescue's Paul Herbst says the jaws of life had to be used to free another passenger from that vehicle who survived.
He has been rushed to hospital in a critical condition.
Herbst says in the second vehicle, a driver sustained moderate injuries and was a rushed to a hospital.
