In the first, last night, a car left the N3 highway, just before Spaghetti Junction and rolled down and embankment coming to land on its roof. According to Rescue Care services the driver succumbed to his injuries while his passenger sustained moderate injuries and was treated on scene and taken to hospital.

Also last night a vehicle overturned on the M19 Pinetown-bound causing the driver to be ejected. He was declared 'dead' on scene.

At around 4 this morning a driver lost control of his vehicle along the N2, just before the Galleria Mall offramp, causing it to crash. He succumbed to his injuries while 4 of his passengers were treated for minor and moderate injuries.

And at around 5 this morning 5 people were hurt when two vehicles were involved in a rear impact collision along the N3, near Paradise Valley. The impact left the occupants of one of vehicles entrapped and Jaws Of Life had to be used to free them.

Rescue Care responded to all these accidents and its Garrith Jamieson is calling on motorists to be extra careful on the roads.

"Our advice is to first adapt your driving to the weather conditions firstly. For instance it was raining last night and the wet weather may have played a role in the accidents", he said.

"Also be cautious if you will be consuming alcohol - do not drive afterwards. Rather hail a taxi to get you where you need to be", Jamieson said.
