One of the suspects was a previous employee on the farm, Colonel Ronel Otto said.

The three, aged 45, 35 and 32, were arrested in Mshongoville village.

"Stolen items that were taken from the house during the incident, including a laptop, radio, television and cellphones were found in their possession during the arrest," said Otto.

The three are expected to appear in the Polokwane Magistrate's Court on Thursday on charges of murder and house robbery.

The murdered woman was identified as 67-year-old Rina Langenhoven.

Langenhoven, who managed the resort in Limpopo, was bound with tape.

Her body was discovered by a domestic worker who reported for duty at the Silver Mist farm.

On Monday, Otto said Langenhoven, who was believed to be a widow, was attacked while watching TV on Sunday night.
