24 more COVID-19 deaths take SA's toll to 18 968

South Africa's coronavirus death toll's edging closer to the 19 000 mark.

Twenty-four more people have lost their lives, in the country, bringing the number of COVID-19 fatalities to 18 968.
The Health Ministry says in the last 24 hours, the number of positive cases jumped by over 1 600.
The country's identified more than 715 000 infections to date.
Meanwhile, over 646 000 people have beat the virus, which translates to a recovery rate of 90,3%.
