16 people are being treated in hospital following an accident on the N11 near Ladysmith in northern KwaZulu-Natal.

Reports from the scene suggest the accident involves a minibus taxi and a light motor vehicle.
Emergency services say all 16 patients were treated for injuries ranging from minor to serious.
KZN EMS's Robert Mckenzie says the patients were later taken through to a nearby hospital for further care.
Meanwhile, five people have been hurt in a separate accident on the N2 highway near Mkhuze.
Mckenzie says it is unclear what caused both accidents however authorities are investigating.
