200 international doctors to write exams: HPCSA
Updated | By Noxolo Miya
The Health Professions Council of South Africa says more than 200 international doctors will sit for their board exams soon after a deal was signed with a new administrator, the University of KwaZulu-Natal.

Exam delays meant foreign doctors couldn't start working in the country.
Some marched to the Union Buildings in Pretoria to voice their frustration.
The council said administration challenges were to blame.
Spokesperson Christopher Tsatswane says they're pleased to have signed a contract with UKZN to manage the medical board exams for the next three years.
"We are also happy to announce that 218 applicants will be sitting on their examinations on 25 October 2023, after which they will sit for their practical examination on in early December 2023."
