20 pupils hurt in taxi crash on M19
Updated | By Lauren Beukes
Around 20 children were hurt in a serious taxi crash on the M19 on Friday morning.
Emergency first responders say the vehicle veered off the road between Reservoir Hills and the Westville off-ramp.
The driver is believed to have lost control of the vehicle, causing it to roll on the Pinetown side.
ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson says the pupils were being transported to school at the time of the crash.
“Multiple children were found laying all around the taxi and on the roadway, and immediately more ambulances and advanced life support paramedics were dispatched to assist.”
