The police's Thembeka Mbele said: "When the victim was on her way to visit her grandmother, the accused came from behind and kicked her and she fell. She was then dragged to a nearby mealie field where she was raped.
"Again during the same year in December, the victim was on her way to fetch some water and when she was approached by the accused, she tried to run away, but Goma managed to grab her and then she fell and she was then raped again."
In the second matter, the Inkanyezi Regional Court has jailed a 62-year-older man for 25 years for raping his 11-yea-old step-daughter.
The child was abused over a two year period between 2016 and 2018.
