2 killed in Pinetown bakkie accident carrying workers

Two men have died in an accident in Pinetown.

The driver of a bakkie carrying workers lost control while travelling on the M13 on Friday.
The vehicle rolled down an embankment and came to rest on the Richmond Road on-ramp.

Rescue Care spokesperson, Garrith Jamieson says paramedics tried in vain to save the two.
"Paramedics assisted with the resuscitation efforts however the two males believed to be in their 20s has sustained fatal injuries, and there was nothing more paramedics could do for them, and they were declared deceased on the scene," he said.
He says several other people have been injured.
