2 killed, 8 injured in Eston crash
Two people have died and eight others critically hurt during a crash involving four vehicles along the R603 in Eston, in the Midlands.
According to Netcare 911 two cars were involved in the initial collision and later on two more cars crashed into them. The service's Shawn Herbst says the crash took place along the direction of Umbumbulu.
"Upon assessment it was found that 2 people sustained fatal injuries and were declared 'deceased' at the scene", he said.
"Three people sustained critical injuries and another five people sustained moderate injuries. They were all treated on scene and then taken through to a nearby hospital", Herbst said.
