2 die in tragic Newcastle bus crash

Emergency services have worked frantically at the scene of a crash near Newcastle in northern KwaZulu-Natal that has claimed the lives of two people.
Paramedics have confirmed that a man about 60-years-old and a young girl aged between six and eight years were killed in the crash.
It is understood a bus overturned onto the car they had been travelling in on the road between Madadeni and Osizweni.
The exact cause of the crash is unknown.
KZN Emergency Medical Services' Robert Mckenzie says eight occupants of the bus were also hurt.
''Paramedics have treated eight people who were occupants of the bus. Four of those occupants had serious injuries while the remaining four had minor injuries.
''These patients have been stabilised at the scene and have now been transported to hospital. Rescue medics had to work fervently to free the car from underneath the bus,'' he said.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
