19-hour water cut in Durban: Full list of affected areas here
Updated | By Nomfundo Ngcobo
Communities from the north, central and inner west part of Durban must brace for a 19-hour water supply disruption from Thursday 1am.

The City says Umgeni Water has planned to shut down their raw water conveyance line to repair a failed scour valve.
The municipality's spokesperson, Msawakhe Mayisela says this will result in a 50% reduced treatment capacity from Durban Heights Waterworks which supplies most areas in Durban.
“We are appealing for the public to bear with us and sincerely apologise for the inconvenience this is going to cause,” Mayisela said.
“It is a major operation. It is of paramount importance that we embark on this exercise, we are therefore appealing to the public to use water sparingly.”
“We will be using our water tankers to deliver water, in the event that we reach that point, the public must all times remember that we are in the grip of the coronavirus so we have to be mindful that we have to adhere to regulations,” Mayisela added.
