18 school children injured in PMB taxi crash

A crash in Pietermaritzburg left almost 20 young pupils hurt on Monday morning.

The collision between a taxi and a car happened on Monday morning on the D1135 Caluza.
ALS paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson says the children are aged between six and 12 years.
He says the scene was in total chaos.
"ALS Paramedics, together with EMRS Paramedics, worked to stabilise all the children on the scene before transporting them to various Pietermaritzburg hospitals for the further care that they required.
"At this stage, the events leading up to the collision are unknown. However, SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further."
