14 hurt in taxi rollover

14 people have been hurt after the taxi they were travelling in overturned in Imbali township, in Pietermaritzburg.

It is said the fully loaded vehicle had been moving along the main road between France and Unit 15 areas when the driver somehow lost control at the wheel. According to ER24 the minibus taxi had come to stop against an ARMCO barrier.
The service's Russel Meiring says minor to moderate injuries were sustained.
"Passengers had climbed out of the vehicle and were found seated on the pavement. Assessments showed that 14 people, including two children aged between 2 and 3, sustained minor to moderate injuries", he said.
"No serious injuries or fatalities were recorded on scene. The patients were treated for their injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital for further care", Meiring said.
