14 children injured in Bluff taxi crash
Updated | By Portia Cele
16 people, including 14 school children, have been hurt in a minibus crash on the Bluff.
The minibus collided with another vehicle at the intersection of Solomon Mahlangu Drive ( formerly, Edwin Swales Drive) and Chalmers Road.
Rescue Care's Garrith Jamieson says the group had been on a school trip - and had been accompanied by two teachers.
"Just after 11.20am this morning, Rescue Care paramedics were called to a serious school taxi accident. More ambulances were sent to assist the children with minor injuries that had sustained.
"Once all children were stabilised on scene, they were taken to various Durban hospitals for the further care that they required," Jamieson said.
